Plastisol Steel Wall Trim (Counter Flashing), 3m
The Plastisol Steel Wall Trims offer a modern, cost-effective alternative to traditional lead flashing. These trims are used to create a waterproof junction where the EPDM membrane meets a brick wall or upstand. They can be installed by cutting a channel into the mortar or, in some cases, used as a gutter drip trim for side-fixing.
Ordering Tip: Don't forget to order Mastic to seal the top return of the trim once it is fixed into the wall.
Key Features
Watertight Junction: Designed to be used with mastic to ensure no water can track down behind the membrane.
Lead Alternative: Provides the same protection as lead but with a cleaner, uniform black finish to match your roof.
Versatile Use: Can be top or side fixed depending on your specific upstand detail.
Expert Tip: Dress the membrane up the wall first, then install the trim into the pre-cut channel. Fix securely with RB fasteners and apply a bead of sealant along the top edge for a maintenance-free finish.
