Why Choose Stellar Aluminium French Casement Windows?
Warmth & Efficiency
Nobody wants draughty windows. The Stellar French casement system is built with advanced thermal break technology that locks heat inside the property. With standard double glazing, it easily meets Part L requirements with an A energy rating ($1.1\text{ U-value}$). Upgrading to triple glazing delivers ultimate thermal performance, while high-performance weather seals keep out driving rain and cold winds.
Strength & Security
These windows are built to protect. Inherently strong by design, the Stellar system features shootbolt multi-point locking mechanisms and concealed hinges that remove common points of attack. Meeting strict PAS 24 security standards right out of the box, every window is backed by the Yale Total Trust Guarantee for complete peace of mind.
A Perfect Fit for Any Project
Ideal for cottage-style homes, upper-floor bedrooms, or openings requiring an unobstructed view, the French casement design features a flying mullion. When both sashes are opened 90 degrees, you get a completely clear, wide-open view with no central frame post in the way, providing a fully compliant egress fire escape. Because it is a complete system, we supply every matching cill, coupler, and trim required to guarantee a neat, professional, and perfectly colour-matched finish every time.

Custom Styling & Hardware Finishes
The finishing touches make all the difference to a property’s character. Our French casement windows can be tailored with traditional astragal bars or internal Georgian bars to suit period properties, or left clean and simple for contemporary designs. To complete the look, we offer matching master and slave handle sets available in flawless finishes including Chrome, Gold, Graphite, Satin, White, and Black—all chosen for smooth, dependable daily operation.
Simple Care & Maintenance
Keeping your powder-coated aluminium frames in top condition is straightforward. Wash the frames at least twice a year (or every 3 months in coastal or high-pollution areas) using warm water, a mild non-alkaline detergent, and a soft cloth, then dry thoroughly.
Always avoid abrasive cream cleaners, solvents, bleach, or ammonia. Once a year, apply a few drops of light machine oil (such as 3-in-1 oil) to pivot points, shooting bolts, and locking mechanisms, and keep the hinge tracks clear of debris for smooth operation.

A French casement window features two sashes that open outward from the centre, similar to French doors. One sash incorporates a ‘flying mullion’—a central post attached directly to the opening frame—so when both sashes are opened, you get a completely clear opening with no central fixed frame post.
Yes. Because the central mullion opens out with the secondary sash, French casement windows create a wide, unobstructed opening. This makes them an ideal solution for meeting Building Regulation requirements for emergency egress escape routes on upper floor bedrooms.
We recommend providing overall manufacturing sizes—which is the exact frame size you require—whenever possible. If you are providing structural brickwork opening measurements instead, please make sure to let us know. In those cases, we will apply standard fitting deductions, usually deducting 10mm to 12mm from both the overall width and height, to determine the final frame size. Also, remember to clarify whether your measurements include additional components like cills, add-ons, or couplers so we can calculate your quote accurately.
