22mm x 20mm Square Section, 5m – Moondust

This 22mm x 20mm square section is a versatile, solid-style uPVC profile used for substantial finishing and infill tasks around window and door installations. Unlike thinner trims, the 1179 profile provides a structured, rectangular edge that is ideal for bridging deeper gaps or creating a clean, consistent border where a standard flat lath would lack the necessary depth.

The primary application for this section is “packing” or “boxing in” where the frame meets an uneven reveal or a deep structural opening. The Moondust Grey finish is specifically designed to match modern mid-grey foiled frames, ensuring that even significant infill work remains discreet and perfectly colour-matched to the primary installation. Its 22mm x 20mm dimensions make it robust enough to act as a decorative trim or a functional spacer.

Manufactured by Deeplas from high-density, lead-free PVC-U, this square section is built to last in the UK climate. It is completely moisture-proof and rot-resistant, making it a superior alternative to timber beads in damp environments like kitchens or bathrooms. The material is easy to cut and shape with standard hand tools, providing a permanent, maintenance-free finish that never requires painting or sanding.
