The 25mm Hardie™ Ventilation Profile (Product Code: 5300185) is a universal trim used to protect the 20mm air cavity at both the top and bottom of your cladding. While it is often used at the head of a wall to let air out, it is also frequently used at the base of Hardie™ VL Plank installations to "mesh off" the gap behind the starter profile.
This profile is a multi-purpose trim designed for any area where your cladding system needs to breathe while remaining secure. It is most commonly used along the soffit line at the top of a wall, underneath window cills, and across window and door heads. By installing it in these key areas, you ensure a continuous airflow loop that prevents dampness from building up around your structural openings and roofline Maintaining this airflow is vital for correct installation.
